Let dry completely. Insert ball in a zip lock sandwich baggie and seal, Then stain the wood with an oil based stain with the ball not being affected. Water-based stain may raise the grain of your nicely sanded block. Do the same with water based finish. You can actually hang the block to dry using a wooden cloths pin or small clamp on baggie. From experience, Early American or lighter brown toned stain, with satin polycrylic is my go-to.

Place palm of one hand over ball. Place other hand over that hand, like CPR compressions. Press down firmly. Don"t be shy. Key is soaking wood long enough, I've tried a shorter time and cracked the edge.

My DW734 is making a terrible noise like something needs oiled. I can see sparks in the reflection off the platform. I’m trying to take the motor off and check if there is something that needs lubricated. Can you help me me?
